Diamond Jubilee
ActiveRubus idaeus L. · Red raspberry
Vinson Peter Edward
10 August 2026
The variety forms upright bushes with a height of 120 to 160 cm. The canes are characterized by weak spination, which simplifies plantation maintenance and berry harvesting. Fruiting of the variety begins approximately 6 days earlier than that of the «Tulameen» variety.
The berries are large (5–7 g), have an elongated conical shape, and a red or dark red color with a gloss. The firm structure of the pulp ensures good transportability and suitability for long-term storage, and also allows for mechanical harvesting and blast freezing.
The plant possesses high resistance to the North American raspberry aphid, which transmits raspberry mosaic virus, and also demonstrates slowed development of raspberry bushy dwarf virus symptoms and resistance to root rots.
