The Citria variety is a product of the breeding work of the Research Institute for Fruit Growing ICDP Pitești-Mărăcineni. The plant was obtained as a result of crossing the Cayuga and Orss Seedling varieties.
Citria raspberry belongs to yellow-fruited varieties. The variety was actively studied as part of the development of in vitro micropropagation protocols, where it demonstrated high rhizogenesis potential.
