ActiveRubus idaeus L. · Red raspberry
Vinson Peter Edward
10 August 2026
The bush is vigorous, upright, reaching a height of 1.5–2 meters with moderate shoot-forming ability. Thorns are concentrated mainly in the lower part of the shoots up to 35–40 cm. The variety is adapted to heavy clay soils, withstands frosts down to -34°C, and is heat tolerant.
The berries have an elongated-conical shape, a bright red color with a sheen, and a weight of 3.2 to 5.2 g. The fruits are characterized by high firmness, juiciness, and a pleasant sweet taste. The variety is characterized by a rapid yield return and high productivity.
The plant shows immunity to the aphid Amphorophora agathonica, which is a vector of the raspberry mosaic virus, and is capable of avoiding infection with the raspberry bushy dwarf virus. It has moderate resistance to root rot, while a potential susceptibility to cane blight is noted.
