ActiveRubus idaeus L. · Red raspberry
Vinson Peter Edward
10 August 2026
The variety belongs to the category of facultative remontant types, producing two harvests per season. The first ripening period begins in the first ten days of June and lasts for about three weeks, the second — from the first week of August for 2–3 weeks. In some years, the autumn harvest may be absent.
The berries have an average size of about 4.5 grams, a rounded or obtuse-conical shape, and a dark red color. The taste is sweet and sour, the consistency is firm. The weight of the autumn harvest berries often exceeds the weight of the summer ones. The plant forms a vigorous bush with long branches and is prone to active formation of root suckers.
The variety possesses winter hardiness down to -18°C and high ecological adaptability. A tendency of shoot bark to crack and susceptibility to anthracnose and Didymella are noted. The produce is suitable for sale in fresh form, deep freezing, and processing.
