The Tragilo variety was obtained by crossing the Lloyd George and Preußen varieties. The plant is characterized by very strong growth and a high capacity for producing young shoots. The variety is self-fertile and requires good water supply.

The crop matures in August. The produce is suitable for fresh consumption, home processing, and freezing. The variety is significant in breeding work, particularly in the development of the Rucanta and Rutrago varieties, as well as in the study of resistance to cane diseases.
