Variety description

10 August 2026

The Vajolet variety is everbearing (primocane) and possesses primocane features, allowing for harvest on both previous year's canes and current year's shoots. When grown on current year's shoots, fruiting occurs in the period from August to October. The plant is vigorous, reaching a height of 1.8–2.0 m or more, forming strong upright shoots with thorns and short laterals.

The berries have a wide conical shape, their average weight is 6–8 g, reaching 10 g in individual cases. The fruits are distinguished by a bright red-orange color, excellent sweet taste with a sugar content of 8.9–10° Brix and a pronounced aroma. Medium-firm flesh ensures good storage quality and suitability for transport.

The variety has high winter hardiness and good general resistance to diseases and pests. Intended primarily for the fresh market, it is suitable for professional use, including the long-cane technology.
