The Gonello F1 variety is a winter rye (Secale cereale L.) hybrid. It has been used in genetic research, particularly for trait mapping and the study of male fertility restoration mechanisms.
The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness and increased yield potential compared to population rye varieties. Currently, the variety has been removed from official registration or is in the process of being delisted.
