The variety is a population rye, not a hybrid. The plants belong to the short-stemmed type with a stem height from 90 to 109.9 cm. In agronomic studies, the variety demonstrates stability of development under German conditions and possesses specific genetic resistance to leaf rust.

The variety is used in agriculture, including in living mulch systems, and is studied for scientific purposes as a model object. Studies have noted fluctuations in the falling number of grain and conducted an analysis of the content of bioactive compounds in the plant composition, in particular benzoxazinoids.
