The Herakles variety is a population, not a hybrid, winter rye variety. In trials, it is characterized as a plant with a mid-maturation period, the yield and stability of which depend on soil and climatic conditions and the level of agronomic practices applied.
The grain of the variety is intended for use as a food crop. When studying the variety, it should be taken into account that in official EU documents it is indicated in Latin script to avoid confusion with the spring soft wheat variety of the same name.
