The KWS Florano winter rye hybrid is intended for baking production and use as a feed crop. It is characterized by high technological grain quality, including falling number, test weight, and thousand kernel weight.
The variety is included in European testing programs, where its resistance to leaf rust (Puccinia recondita) and morphological traits, such as maturity dates and lodging resistance, are evaluated. In agricultural literature, the variety is considered a predecessor to the company's modern hybrids.
