The variety was developed using plants with the Guelzower 1 male sterility system. In the course of breeding work and field trials, genetic markers and pollen fertility restoration systems were studied.

The variety is characterized by resistance to powdery mildew. As part of comparative agronomic studies, the susceptibility of plants to ergot Claviceps purpurea was evaluated.
