The Oktavian variety belongs to winter crops and is a commercial rye variety that participated in comparative agronomic trials. It is associated with the breeding activities of the company P. H. Petersen Saatzucht Lundsgaard.
During the studies, it was recorded that the variety has a tendency to lodge, showing less resistance in this aspect compared to some hybrid forms. Qualitative grain indicators include a protein content of about 11%.
