The variety was developed through selection in the Styria region based on the Petkuser Kurz variety. The plant is tall and differs from other varieties in its greater stem length, as well as the heterogeneity of the crops.
The variety is characterized by good winter hardiness and low requirements, but it has poor lodging resistance. The yield potential is described as below average. The ears have a parallel shape.
The variety is intended for use on organic farms and is grown as bread-making rye.
