Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a hybrid and is considered as a crop for the production of grain, bioethanol, as well as biomass for energy generation. In experimental trials, the variety demonstrated high grain bulk density and yield in comparison with other samples.

In comparative studies, hybrids, including Placido, showed certain winter hardiness indices. At the same time, a number of papers noted a tendency for Western European rye hybrids to have increased sensitivity to a complex of diseases and overwintering conditions compared to population varieties.
