The variety is intended for industrial cultivation as a source of flavonolignans (silymarin) used in pharmaceuticals, cosmetology, and the food industry. The yield of achenes under proper cultivation is about 1.5 tonnes per hectare.
The seeds of the variety demonstrate a stable phytochemical profile. The oil obtained from them is distinguished by a high content of unsaturated fatty acids, predominantly linoleic and oleic. The variety is adapted to the climatic conditions of the cultivation region.
