The plant reaches a height of 120–140 cm, has broad green leaves with distinct pubescence and yellow flowers in dense inflorescences. The fruits are non-shattering pods covered with hairs. The seeds are smooth, yellow-cream in color; the thousand kernel weight is about 7.0 g.

The variety withstands spring frosts down to -6°C and demonstrates resistance to drought. Seed yield varies from 1.5 to 2.0 t/ha. The crop is suitable for cultivation on less fertile soils with sufficient calcium content.

The variety does not possess resistance to the beet cyst nematode, which may lead to an increase in its population when grown.
