The variety is a descendant of the Axilia and Saskia varieties. It belongs to the group of very early potato varieties.
In scientific publications, the variety is often used as a model organism in experiments studying taste qualities, interaction with pathogens, and in in vitro studies. It is susceptible to the potato cyst nematode and is also used in the study of late blight and Rhizoctonia solani.
The variety was intended for commercial production and often serves as a standard or comparative material when conducting laboratory and field trials.
