The variety is early-maturing. The tubers are oval in shape, the skin is light yellow (with the exception of the Red Duke of York mutation with red coloring), the flesh is creamy-yellow. The plants are compact, reaching a height of up to 50 cm and a spread of up to 30 cm.
The variety has resistance to dry rot, but is characterized by low resistance to late blight and scab. When harvested early, the tubers hold their shape well during boiling, and upon full maturity, the flesh acquires a floury texture, which allows the potatoes to be used for baking, mashing, and frying.
