The variety was obtained as a result of crossing the varieties Colleen and Estima. In its characteristics and suitability for industrial processing, in particular regarding sugar content and chip color, the variety is comparable to the Record potato variety.
The variety possesses natural resistance to potato virus X groups 1 and 2, but is susceptible to strains of group 3. In relation to the potato cyst nematode, it is classified as susceptible. It is characterized by good yield and drought tolerance at a level of 7 points on a nine-point scale.
