The variety was obtained by crossing lines DDR 5158 and SW 163/55. The vegetation period ranges from 110 to 150 days. Tubers have an round-oval shape, yellow skin, and yellow flesh; eyes are shallow. The haulm develops strongly, flowers are red-violet.
The potato is suitable for the production of chips, mashed potatoes, and starch extraction; dry matter content is 13–17% and higher. It belongs to cooking type BC and is prone to boiling down. It possesses high keeping quality and a long dormancy period.
The variety is resistant to potato wart (pathotype 1) and common scab. It shows good resistance to heat and drought conditions.
