The Early Rose variety is very early, ready for harvest in 6–8 weeks. The plants are of medium height. The tubers are characterized by an irregular, bumpy shape and rather deep eyes; the skin is light pink. The flesh is white, sometimes with small red spots or a faintly expressed red vascular ring. The flowers are white.
In terms of produce quality, the variety is classified as a table potato. The texture of the tubers is firm at the beginning of the season, becoming floury as they mature. The variety is considered susceptible to late blight of the foliage and tubers, as well as to a number of other common potato diseases.
