The Malin variety was created as part of the breeding program at the Oak Park center in Ireland. In breeding databases, it is mentioned predominantly in the context of genealogy, in particular as one of the parental components in the breeding of the Camelot variety.
Morphologically, the variety is characterized by tubers of oval or elongated shape. Detailed agrotechnical indicators, such as maturity group, haulm height, and disease resistance, are absent in open publications. The variety has not gained wide commercial distribution.
