The variety is an old local landrace traditional to Scandinavian countries. The tubers have a characteristic oblong, curved shape and yellow flesh. When boiled, the variety exhibits mealy properties and falls apart easily, therefore it is recommended for preparing mashed potatoes.
The dry matter content in the tubers is about 23.6%. The variety is distinguished by a long dormancy period, which ensures good keeping quality during storage. It forms a large number of small tubers. Due to high susceptibility to late blight, common scab, and Yn virus, it performs best in northern conditions.
