The variety is being studied in the context of industrial processing, particularly for the production of chips. Under certain cultivation methods, tubers may not reach the necessary dry matter content required for the production of chips or french fries.

The plant is sensitive to the level of nitrogen and potassium nutrition, which directly affects the quality of the tubers and the color of the finished processed products. The variety is used in agronomic experiments to study the response to types of fertilizers, nitrogen deficiency, and susceptibility to viral infections, including PVY.
