The variety is the result of crossing "Arran Pilot" and "Minominee". It belongs to the category of early table varieties and has been known in breeding practice since 1985.

Studies show that the use of plastic film covering when growing this variety allows for a significant increase in yield. The variety demonstrates a very low level of susceptibility to tuber flesh spotting (spraing), and was also studied in the context of resistance to bacterial soft rot during long-term storage.
