The potato variety Nevin was obtained by specialists at the Potato Research and Development Station in Târgu Secuiesc through sexual hybridization of the parental forms Bellarosa and Laura using individual clonal selection.
The breeding work for this variety was conducted taking into account quality requirements for raw materials for processing. Detailed morphological traits and yield indicators have not been recorded in open publications.
