The variety is late-maturing. The plant has long, strong stems with small leaflets; the stems and flowers contain anthocyanin pigment. The tubers are elongated, banana-shaped and curved with pointed ends, having light yellow skin and bright yellow flesh.
The potato is characterized by a high starch and dry matter content and possesses a floury texture. Due to a strong dormancy mechanism, the tubers are resistant to sprouting during the winter period, which ensures long-term storage.
The variety is susceptible to late blight, common scab, viral diseases, and nematodes, and is therefore traditionally grown in regions with cold climates. It is adapted to a long photoperiod and requires long germination of seeds at a temperature of 10–12°C before planting.
