The variety is the result of breeding at the Institute of Potato Research of the NAAS of Ukraine, obtained by crossing wild African and equatorial species. The tubers have a round-oval or oblong shape. The dark purple color of the flesh is maintained after heat treatment.
The plant belongs to the mid-season or mid-late maturity group. The yield reaches 40 t/ha, and the starch content is about 20.1%. The variety is characterized by an increased content of antioxidants and vitamins. It possesses resistance to potato wart, nematodes, common scab, and late blight.
