The variety belongs to local Estonian breeding and is historically one of the most common in the region. In academic sources, it is classified as late-maturing. The table purpose of the variety is combined with starch content indicators in the tubers in the range of 16–20%.
The variety is actively used in scientific experiments, including studies of physiological indicators such as leaf area index and photosynthetic potential. It also serves as a susceptible control when studying potato resistance to the golden potato cyst nematode (Globodera rostochiensis).
