The variety was obtained by crossing lines AM 66-42 x VE 80-44. The year of appearance is indicated as 2000 in the potato pedigree database.

The variety is known for its resistance to the potato cyst nematode (Globodera pallida) and is mentioned in a number of studies as one of the varieties possessing this characteristic.

Data on maturity group, plant height, lodging resistance, taste qualities, and yield are absent in agronomic sources.
