The Zagara variety was bred using parental lines Timate and MN 1290E. During the breeding process, special attention was paid to the development of the root system and the plants' ability for self-regulation in the absence of intensive chemical protection.
The plant belongs to the early-maturing group. One of the key characteristics is resistance to late blight (Phytophthora infestans) infection, which makes the variety promising for cultivation within organic farming.
