The variety forms a leaf rosette 15–20 cm in height and about 15 cm in width. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth and the ability to develop at low temperatures, however, when sown in summer heat, the yield decreases noticeably.

The leaves of the variety contain a complex of B vitamins, vitamin C, carotene, as well as iron, magnesium, and potassium salts.
