The plant forms a rosette of fairly large, fleshy, dark green leaves, which may have a pointed shape. The period from germination to harvest is from 4 to 6 weeks, in some cases reaching 90–110 days. The leaves are suitable for fresh consumption, culinary processing, and freezing.

The variety possesses high winter hardiness and is intended for sowing in late summer and autumn, as well as early spring. It tolerates frosts well. When sown in summer during hot months, it is prone to rapid bolting. It allows for multiple harvests through selective picking of outer leaves.
