The shrub has a rounded shape and reaches a height of 30–60 cm, sometimes up to 90–120 cm depending on conditions. Young spring leaves are colored in bright orange-red tones, which transition to golden-yellow and yellow-green shades by summer.
Flowering with dark pink flowers in corymbose inflorescences begins in late spring or June and may repeat throughout the summer. The plant is frost-hardy down to -25°C...-30°C and is suitable for creating borders, mass plantings, or container cultivation.
