The plant forms a dense rounded bush. Abundant flowering with bright pink flowers in corymbose inflorescences lasts from June to August, sometimes extending into September. The shrub is frost-resistant and low-maintenance, developing well in sun or partial shade in ordinary garden soils.

The variety is used in landscape design for decorating the foreground of flower beds, creating low borders, rock gardens, and for cultivation in containers. The plant attracts bees and butterflies.
