The Menta variety is a diploid plant up to 90 cm tall with thin, partially creeping stems and approximately 52% leafiness. The flowering period begins in the second ten-day period of June and lasts about a month. The variety possesses good winter hardiness and resistance to common leaf spot, trampling, and grazing.
The productivity of the variety is 9–10 t/ha of dry matter and about 300 kg/ha of seeds, with the possibility of obtaining two to three cuts per season. The green mass is rich in protein and minerals and does not cause bloat in animals. The variety is suitable for heavy, moist soils with high groundwater levels and is also a honey plant.
The recommended seeding rate for pure stands is 8–10 kg/ha; the optimal sowing time is the second half of August. The variety combines well in grass mixtures with timothy, meadow fescue, and perennial ryegrass.
