The variety is tetraploid and was developed based on the Swedish variety «Tetra». Plants have long stems 80–120 cm in height, are well-leafed, with large dark green leaves. Flowering occurs in late June — early July, and seeds ripen by mid-August.
The variety is characterized by good winter hardiness and the ability to produce two full cuts per growing season with a dry matter yield of 9.5–11 t/ha. The protein content in the first cut is 11.9–18%, and in the second — up to 23%. Disease resistance is assessed as medium.
The plant is recommended for use on sites with high moisture and acidic mineral soils. It combines well in grass mixtures with timothy, meadow fescue, and Kentucky bluegrass.
