The variety is classified as early and is characterized by rapid development after sowing, outperforming other varieties in the onset of flowering by two weeks. The plant height is about 50 cm. Rapid formation of green mass contributes to effective soil cover and weed suppression.
The plant possesses good resistance to leaf diseases and better winter hardiness compared to other annual clovers. The product is distinguished by a high crude protein content (over 25%) and high digestibility. It is capable of fixing atmospheric nitrogen in the amount of 80 to 160 kg N/ha.
Used as a forage crop for grazing and hay production, as a green manure, and as a cover crop for erosion control. Due to its bright red flowers, it is a honey plant. It is recommended for inclusion in grass mixtures with Italian ryegrass and winter vetch.
