The plant is annual and erect, reaches a height of 60–80 cm, and possesses a taproot system. The inflorescences are red-violet in color and are more compact compared to early varieties.
The variety is classified as late-maturing: flowering occurs at the end of May – beginning of June, which is 20 days later than standard varieties. The yield of green mass is 200–350 c/ha, seeds – 6–8 c/ha. The variety is resistant to diseases and cold, and adapts well to sandy and clay soils.
Autumn or spring sowing is recommended with a seeding rate of 25–35 kg/ha. It is advisable to use the crop in mixtures with vetch or ryegrass to increase the volume and quality of forage.
