The Vesta Dæhnfeldt variety was included in breeding trials in the second half of the 20th century and was mentioned in scientific literature of the 1960s–1970s. Research involving this variety focused on studying the level of plant resistance to the disease caused by the fungus Sclerotinia trifoliorum.

Currently, the variety is considered historical and has been removed from official agricultural crop variety lists. Detailed morphological characteristics and productivity data are unavailable in open sources.
