The variety was developed based on local material growing in the vicinity of the town of Viglaš. In agronomic studies of the last century, the variety was mentioned during comparative trials, where parameters of seed productivity and plant height were recorded.
In foreign breeding programs, the variety was considered as a reference for improving the traits of local populations, as well as material for forage production. Modern full descriptors of the variety, including detailed yield and disease resistance indicators, are absent from publications.
