The variety Vivi is a tetraploid (4n) representative of red clover. It is used as an object in comparative trials to evaluate yield, dry matter and protein output, as well as persistence in the sward when grown in mixtures with ryegrass.
The plant is characterized as late-flowering. In experiments conducted under perennial sward conditions, the variety demonstrated survival rates and contributions to total sward productivity lower than some other tested accessions. It is intended for the establishment of hayfields, pastures, and use as a green manure crop.
