The variety «Vytis» is a diploid red clover variety, developed using genetic materials from traditional Lithuanian varieties. The crop is intended for agricultural use within forage crop rotations and in organic farming systems.

During the breeding process, particular attention was paid to resistance to Fusarium and clover rot, although the variety retains the species-typical susceptibility to leaf spot diseases. The plant is characterized by high seed germination rates and contains significant amounts of protein, minerals, and flavonoids.

The variety is actively used in scientific research as an object for the analysis of genetic polymorphism and in comparative yield trials of diploid and tetraploid clover forms.
