The variety originated from a cross between Lower Bavarian landrace wheat and spelt, genetically related to the Brauner Dickkopfweizen wheat type. The plant has a medium stem length, good tillering, and a long, drooping, awnless ear with a loose structure. The grain is large, plump, oblong in shape, and yellowish-brown in color.
The variety is considered undemanding and is well-suited for extensive cultivation conditions with reduced seeding rates and fertilizer inputs. Yield under modern experimental conditions is approximately 40 c/ha. It is intended for baking use and demonstrates above-average loaf volume performance.
