The variety was developed at the Agricultural Institute in Osijek. In comparative studies covering a hundred-year period of breeding in Croatia, it is characterized as having a higher yield compared to a number of other varieties, such as Dropia, Flamura 85, and Bezostaja 1.
By its morphological traits, Brasilia is classified as a tall variety with later maturity dates, which distinguishes it from modern semi-dwarf wheats. Information regarding its lodging resistance, diseases, or detailed grain quality indicators is absent in available scientific publications.
