Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety was selected from a population created on the basis of male sterility and was tested under the experimental designations PB BR5702 and CONT BR 5702. The plant is characterized by satisfactory stem strength and resistance to lodging.

The variety possesses resistance to powdery mildew and moderate adult plant resistance to stem rust and leaf rust. At the same time, it is moderately susceptible to barley yellow dwarf virus and susceptible to septoria leaf blotch and eyespot.

In scientific literature, the variety is frequently used in laboratory studies for testing the pathogenicity of fungal diseases and as a source of wheat genomic DNA.
