The winter soft wheat variety Diana II was obtained by crossing Sol II and Svea II. A different pedigree is also mentioned in the literature: Hodoninska holice / Koga // Diana I.
The variety is characterized by high stability of crude protein content indicators in the grain. In modern breeding programs, it is used as source material for developing new varieties possessing adaptability and stable grain quality characteristics.
