The variety «Folke» is a winter common wheat of Swedish breeding. It is widely known in agronomic literature as a valuable genetic resource used in breeding trials in various European countries, including Norway and the Czech Republic.

A key characteristic of the variety is partial non-specific resistance to powdery mildew (Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici), which manifests in adult plants. Due to this trait, «Folke» often serves as a reference object when mapping resistance genes (QTL) in genetic studies of wheat.
