The Forblanc variety is a soft wheat. In comparative agronomic trials, particularly those conducted in the Bilecik region of Turkey, the variety demonstrated a high yield and the largest grain width among the tested samples.
Studies of the variety include evaluation of baking characteristics such as protein content, thousand kernel weight, and the Zeleny sedimentation value. The variety is also included in comparative tables reflecting its reaction to rust diseases of plants.
