The Frimegu variety, also known as Frimegu Abed, is a winter soft wheat. Its pedigree records a cross between the lines KD-6019 and Apollo. Currently, the variety is included in genetic collections as an improved sample.
The plant possesses high resistance to powdery mildew and appears in specialized phytopathological studies as one of the most resistant varieties among the tested samples. The variety belongs to the category of food wheats used in European breeding.
